1

Creator – Before creation was formed there was a creator God. #BiblicalCs “In the beginning, God…” – Gen. 1 v 1 #BiblicalCs

Creation – The creator God created earth and all in it. #BiblicalCs “created the heavens and the earth. … And God said, “Let there be light,” – Gen 1 v 1-3 #BiblicalCs

Communion – God created mankind to be in relationship with one another and God, giving man authority over the Earth. #BiblicalCs  “So God created mankind in his own image.” – Gen 1 v 27 #BiblicalCs

“God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” – Gen 1 v 28 #BiblicalCs

Corruption – Sins enters the world. The fall happens, human greed breaks our relationship with God. #BiblicalCs  “the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.” – Gen 1 v 6 #BiblicalCs

Curse – Due to human action, God puts curses on all of mankind. Deserved punishment. #BiblicalCs  “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life” – Gen 2 v 17 #BiblicalCs

Consequence – The results of sin kick in. Man rebels, relationship breaks. Something needs to happen to set mankind straight. #BiblicalCs  “While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.” – Gen 3 v 8 #BiblicalCs

Catastrophe – hits, God casts his judgement over all the sin, sending a flood, leaving Noah. Sin still continues.  #BiblicalCs “Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence.” – Gen 6 v 11 #BiblicalCs

“The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.” – Gen 7 v 24 #BiblicalCs

Confusion – Mankind still has fallen. Building a tower, to seek there own glory over Gods. God sends confusion among mankind. #BiblicalCs  “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves;” – Gen 11 v 4 #BiblicalCs

Covenant – Abraham is chosen and God makes a covenant with him (offering, land and blessings). #BiblicalCs  “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” – Gen 12 v 2-3 #BiblicalCs

Captivity – The Israelites are captive in Egypt, slaves to Pharaoh. #BiblicalCs “Then a new king, to whom Joseph meant nothing, came to power in Egypt.” – Exodus 1 v 8 #BiblicalCs

“So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor” – Exodus 1 v 11 #BiblicalCs

Commandments – Moses is called to bring God’s people out of Egypt, God ends up giving them the 10 commandments. #BiblicalCs  “Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.” – Exodus 20 v 20 #BiblicalCs

Circles – The Israelites end up walking in circles around the desert for 40 years because of unfaithfulness to God. #BiblicalCs  “In the fortieth year, on the first day of the eleventh month, Moses proclaimed to the Israelites all that the Lord had commanded him concerning them.” – Deut. 1 v 3 #BiblicalCs

Combat – A number of battles went on, including the battle of Jericho, God’s hand was over all, guiding his people to the promised land. #BiblicalCs   “Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.” – Josh 6 v 2 #BiblicalCs

Country – The Israelites finally enter the promised land. #BiblicalCs  “Now the angel of the LORD came up… he said, “I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land which I have sworn to your fathers; and I said, ‘I will never break My covenant with you.” – Judges 2 v 1 #BiblicalCs

Caretaker (Champion) – A number of leaders or judges rise up, taking God’s people through trials. #BiblicalCs  “Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time.” – Judges 5 v 5 #BiblicalCs

Coronation – God’s people want a King (to have their own rule) and go through a mixture of good and bad Kings. #BiblicalCs  “When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son.

“I am about to go the way of all the earth,” he said. “So be strong, act like a man, and observe what the Lord your God requires” 1 Kings 2 v 1-3 #BiblicalCs

Controversy – The Israelites eventually split, into the northern kingdom of Israel and the Southern Kingdom of Judah. #BiblicalCs  “So Israel has been in rebellion against the house of David to this day.” – 1 Kings 12 v 19 #BiblicalCs

Captured – Both Israel and Judah are captured by superpowers of the day the Assyrians and Babylonians and taken into exile. #BiblicalCs  “So the people of Israel were taken from their homeland into exile in Assyria, and they are still there.” – 2 Kings 17 v 23 #BiblicalCs

Communication – God continues to talk to his people through his messengers (prophets). #BiblicalCs  “There will be a highway for the remnant of his people that is left from Assyria, as there was for Israel when they came up from Egypt.” – Isa 11 v 16 #BiblicalCs

Construction – God’s people are released from exile and rebuild the temple and walls in and around Jerusalem. #BiblicalCs  “We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, one that a great king of Israel built and finished. – Ezra 5 v 11 #BiblicalCs

Christ – The promise of a coming Christ is set, leaving a hopeful expectation at the end of the Old Testament. #BiblicalCs  “Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.” – Isaiah 42 v 1 #BiblicalCs

Christ – Christ is here. The new testament start with John preparing the way for Jesus. #BiblicalCs  “He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe.” – John 1 v 7 #BiblicalCs

Claims – Jesus ministry is underway, he is teaching people the truth and making claims about himself and God, which may not always be popular. #BiblicalCs  “When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching” – Matt 7 v 28 #BiblicalCs

“I am the bread that came down from heaven.” – John 6 v 41 #BiblicalCs

Compassion – Jesus has compassion and love for all in a way people haven’t seen before. He heals and saves. #BiblicalCs  “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.” – Mark 3 v 5 #BiblicalCs

Cross – Jesus died on a cross, in our place, to take our sins away. Underserved sacrifice for you and me. #BiblicalCs  “…which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.” – Col. 2 v 14 #BiblicalCs

Conquest/Conquering – Jesus has the power to overcome death, he rose from the dead. Showing authority over sin. #BiblicalCs  “and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Rom. 1 v 4 #BiblicalCs

Commission – Jesus commissions his disciples to go out and take the Gospel to all nations, with all authority. #BiblicalCs  “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” – Matt 28 v 19 #BiblicalCs

Church – The early church is formed and grows rapidly but we quickly start to see a number of issues arising. #BiblicalCs  “praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” – Acts 2 v 47 #BiblicalCs

Christians – Believers are still here, holding to the promises of Christ, knowing God’s salvation through Christ. #BiblicalCs  “… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matt 28 v 20 #BiblicalCs

Comeback – Jesus is promised to return and we are still faithful he will come back. #BiblicalCs  “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” – Matt 24 v 36 #BiblicalCs

Conclusion – God promises a reunited earth. Back to a perfect kingdom with sin wiped away, no more tears or pain. #BiblicalCs  “Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away” – Rev 21 v 1 #BiblicalCs
